About Me

Who Am I?

My name is Nathan Gesner. I'm just an average Joe with average skills and an above-average work ethic. I enjoy simple things like cold fried chicken, a good beer, family, flannel, and real estate investing.
I started my real estate journey after reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki in 2003. My father-in-law was a REALTOR with several investment properties, so he gave me enough information to make me think it was possible. I was stationed with the Air Force in Las Vegas then, so he helped me navigate the purchase and then turned it over to a property manager in his office.

After retiring from the military in 2008, I moved to Cody and earned my real estate license. I found my niche in property management and quickly discovered how little I really knew. In the past 15 years, I've grown my business and my portfolio. I’ve managed over 400 rentals, 450 self-storage units, dozens of short-term rentals, and a handful of homeowner associations.

I'm also an investor. I own 34 rentals, 135 storage units, and other investments. I enjoy running my property management business and investing in real estate. I have no intention of slowing down!

I am a moderator and top poster on BiggerPockets.com, where I help teach amateur landlords and property managers how to better manage their real estate investments.
I recently celebrated my 25th anniversary with Angie. We have three adopted children and too many pets.
